Hi, I’m Emma! Sinema Sounds was born as the culmination of my lifelong love for music and film, as a home for creative curation and Music Supervision.
I believe there’s magic in music in film and in everyday life. This magic happens for me often, and began at a young age. I was already a massive Death Cab for Cutie fan (yes, at 8 years old) when Seth Cohen mentioned them by name as “A Movie Script Ending” played in S1E7 of The O.C. It was later in the episode Mazzy Star’s “Into Dust” had its second appearance of the season - and it fell on just the right ears at just the right time.
I’m lucky that my life has overflowed with moments like these. Cinematic masterpieces, major milestones, or simple moments which “fill my cup,” made that much more powerful by being paired with an emotional connection to the perfect track.
My journey includes eight years at First Avenue Productions, Music Research for BMI, a degree in Music Business (where my interest in licensing and copyright was born), and most recently training under Emmy-nominated Music Supervisor Brienne Rose (Russian Doll, Emily In Paris, etc.) All of these experiences have provided me with exposure and a vast knowledge of music. Sinema Sounds is where I share my curated portfolio, creative vision, and to connect you with music that resonates. My ultimate goal? To deliver that “Into Dust” moment for someone else.
